ABOUT

Hannah Marshall is a British conceptual artist exploring silence as a medium for attention. Her practice moves through installation, voice, sound, architecture and the body, using subtraction and restraint to create charged conditions for attention.

Her work is conceived through a long-term commitment to deep listening, sacred space, meditation and silence as a lived discipline.

Marshall is the founder of H+, an artist-led cultural ecosystem through which her research, public works, residencies, partnerships and cultural initiatives are developed.

The work has been presented across the V+A, Saatchi Gallery, Moleskine Foundation, L-Acoustics, UCL PEARL and Superblue. She was named one of 200 cultural icons by i-D.

The next phase of the practice is focused on protected research, touring works, institutional commissions and the conditions needed to build the body of work at scale.
